MATERIAL MATTERS

Since 2019 we’ve been working with more sustainable materials including recycled polyester, BCI cotton, recycled cotton and organic cotton. We’re proud of the changes we’ve made so far, but we’re not stopping there. As we continue to invest in kinder materials and processes, we’re also committed to being transparent about our progress. By 2025, we aim for 60% of our collection to be made with lower impact materials, but here are a few areas we’re already working on.

RECYCLED POLYESTER Our recycled polyester is made primarily from plastic waste diverted from landfill. In the next year we’ll significantly increase our use of this material as well as exploring other more sustainable alternatives.

BCI COTTON The Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) is a non-profit organisation aiming to make the cotton industry more sustainable by supporting licensed cotton farmers with training on environmentally-friendly methods, reduction of harmful chemicals and fair working conditions. 

KIDSWEAR 100% of our kids’ swimwear and kaftans are made from recycled polyester, all clothing is made with BCI cotton, and sunglasses are made from 100% recycled plastic.

RECYCLED SILVER   Our new solid silver range contains a minimum of 50% recycled sterling silver, a number which we are working hard to increase.

90% of our swimwear will be made with recycled materials

BY 2025

90% of our viscose will come from responsibly-managed forests 60% of our metals will be recycled 90% of our synthetic fibres will come from post-consumer recycling Additionally, all of our cotton will either be recycled, organic, or sourced through the Better Cotton Initiative.
